Today, many families are geographically dispersed and adult children are often not able to help with the moving process due to distance, career, and family obligations. Let's face it, the basic organizational & physical tasks in planning & implementing such a complex move can be overwhelming for the entire family!
Here are a few factors to consider:
Many older adults have no surviving children, or their own children are older adults themselves.
If illness or death precipitates the move, the family is already emotionally and physically drained.
Older adults have not moved in 30 to 50 years, and need to downsize considerably.
Testimonials
Recently, I downsized and moved to a retirement community in a neighboring state, it was a daunting task. Fortunately, Patsieann Misiti was there to help make decisions. She was indispensable. All of her recommended resources were experts and reliable. Her advice at every step of the way made for a smooth move. Thank goodness!

The recommendation to work with Patsieann Misiti was one for which we are grateful. She brought a full range of abilities to the extremely challenging job of downsizing a house in which we had lived for 45 years. She was constantly understanding of the stresses I felt and was particularly sensitive to my wife’s condition. Patsieann was constantly aware of the process I was going through and handled a huge amount of the burden. We are forever grateful.

Patsieann, thank you so much for being involved with our family as we navigated our Mom’s move to North Carolina. You were, without a doubt, a guiding light to us, and we felt a whole lot more comfortable and secure with your involvement.
